Emily is a lecturer, performer and theatre maker.

She trained for two years in Paris at the prestigious Ecole Jacques Lecoq. She went on to receive her L.E.M. certificate (Laboratory of Movement): an extension of the Lecoq training dedicated to researching the live experience and dynamics of space, form and architecture in performance.  Her teaching is practice driven and rooted in the Lecoq pedagogy, focussing on devising, physical performance and personal creativity.

Emily is Co- Director of Jammy Voo Theatre and performs and tours with their work regularly.  The Lecoq trained company have evolved its blend of puppetry, clowning, music and dream like, hynotic visuals by working with internationally renowned practitioners such as Angela DeCastro (Slava's Snowshow), Toby Jones (Harry Potter), Jos Houben (Complicite) and Peta Lily (David Glass Esemble).

Fast leading the way in contemporary female clowning in the UK,  Jammy Voo's last piece Birdhouse was nominated for a Total Theatre Award for 'Innovation, Experimentation and Playing with Form', 2013.  The show was also widely heralded by the national press and Lyn Gardner's theatre pick of the Edinburgh Festival- 'Deceptively Sophisticated'. The show also featured on the BBC's  The Culture Show.

As a multinational company focused on a highly visual vocabulary, Jammy Voo tours both nationally and internationally (Algeria, France, Poland, Norway). They are currently developing their next work The Sleeper: Sleeping Beauty's 100 Years of Dreams with funding support from ACE and Arts Council Norway and Hamar Theatre,Norway.
