A number of funding routes are open to students on our research degree programmes in Drama, including:*

China Scholarship Council and University of Exeter PhD Scholarships for 2023/24 Entry Full tuition fees and Living Allowance Wed 4th Jan 2023 The University of Exeter alongside the China Scholarship Council is pleased to offer up to 50 fully funded studentship available for September 2023 entry.
ESRC SWDTP +3 and 1+3 studentships: Advanced Quantitative Methods (AQM), for 2023/24 entry £17,668 per annum for 2022-23 Fri 13th Jan 2023 ESRC SWDTP funded studentships available for September 2023 entry. For eligible students, the studentship will provide funding of fees and a stipend which is currently £17,668 per annum for 2022-23.
SWW2 AHRC DTP Awards (Exeter) Home tuition fees plus an annual tax-free maintenance stipend of £17,668 per annum or part-time equivalent. Mon 23rd Jan 2023 Up to 48 fully-funded PhD studentships for entry in September 2023 with the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership. Awards are for three years eight months duration (or part-time equivalent) as standard. Once their studentship has begun students can apply to extend their studentship to up to 4 years, should they wish to undertake a placement opportunity with an external organisation or undertake significant training that is essential to their project.
University of Exeter Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences International Student PhD Studentship International tuition fees and an annual maintenance allowance at current Research Council rate of £17,668 per year (2022/23 rate) plus stipend top-up of c. £3,000 to help with visa fees and health surcharge costs. COLFUTURO Ayudar Joint Graduate Scholarship-Loan Programme - 2023 call Tuition fees and living stipend for a maximum of two years Tue 28th Feb 2023 COLFUTURO offers scholarship-loans to provide financial support to Colombian citizens to access high-quality Masters or Doctoral programs abroad. Recipients of Colfuturo funding who have applied to study a taught Masters degree at the University of Exeter will be considered for the Ayudar Scholarship which provides an annual stipend.
Sanctuary Scholarship Full tuition fee waiver plus annual living cost grant Fri 19th May 2023 The Sanctuary Scholarship scheme enables individuals seeking asylum and refugees who are not able access student finance to study at the University of Exeter.
Sports Scholarship Scheme up to £3,000 plus additional support services worth £3,500 Wed 31st May 2023 Sports scholarships are awarded to students of outstanding sporting ability who show evidence of achievement at international level in their chosen sport.
University of Exeter Class of 2023 Progression Scholarship 10% reduction in the first year tuition fee There is no application for this award. You will be automatically considered. A tuition fee discount for current University of Exeter students completing a degree in 2023 and progressing directly to a standalone postgraduate programme with us in 2023/24

Fulbright Scholarships: Postgraduate Student Awards - 2023/24 competition Full tuition fee waiver for the first year of Masters / PhD study & living stipend Deadline passed

Our UK Partnership award with Fulbright is available for Masters or Doctoral students who are USA or dual USA:UK citizens wishing to study at the University. The award takes the form of a tuition fee waiver for the first year of graduate study (either Masters or PhD) and a living stipend. We also accept scholars in receipt of Fulbright 'Open Awards' (also referred to as the All Disciplines Award).
Warm Welcome Full Degree Scholarships - January 2023 entry (PhD) Tuition fees and stipend Deadline passed

A Warm Welcome Full Degree Scholarship is available for an eligible scholar in the UK with links to Afghanistan planning to study full-time for a PhD beginning in January 2023.
*Please note that if you have submitted an application to one of our MPhil/PhD programmes you will not automatically be considered for funding. You must submit a separate funding application, including all required supporting documents, via the link provided in each award to be considered for that award.
