Overview

My research focuses on political performance, and on the relationship between performing arts and social movements. My doctoral thesis analysed the development of Italian political theatre between 1968 and 2010, focusing especially on the extra-parliamentary Left, the feminist movement, and anti-psychiatry.

My current research looks more closely at Italian feminist collectives that used drama and live performance as part of their political work between the 1960s and the 1980s.

I have extensive experience as a performer in theatre for young audiences, a field still very close to my heart.

I welcome enquiries on theatre and politics, activism, performance philosophy, theatre for your audiences, Italian theatre history, and feminist performance.
